Recently there have been some difficult and distressing behaviours in the signal group which have troubled us all.

As radical faeries we seek better ways to engage and grow than judging shunning or excluding one another. That said, and it is vital it is said and heard, it is right we hold ourselves to standards of safety when we gather physically.

In gatherings, safety is a dynamic process embracing individuals and the collective.

Faerinizers - Seek ways to create the container, through the Call, transparency, facilitation and decision-making

Welfaeries - Seek ways to support individuals through listening, warmth, information-sharing and helping with practical needs

Community - Seeks ways to be open and responsive to learning from each other how to be in community

Individuals -  Practice self-reliance, come to gatherings able to self-regulate and able to respond to offers of support

Gatherings are wonderful places of compassion and healing. This does not mean we have the specialist expertise to support complex mental health needs. By complex, we mean people who can’t self-regulate and behave in ways that make others unsafe.

We ask all faeries to carefully reflect on this. We will be facilitating spaces at the gathering to explore it further.
